Child-Centred Therapy Empowering children through empathetic, guided support
Our team includes Child-Centred Therapists and Family Practitioners. We started our journey as secondary school based therapists and went on to build therapy departments in other schools. We believe young people need a blended approach to therapy, as it may sometimes be difficult to understand how the young person themselves are feeling.
At the core of our practice, we believe in the inherent strength and resilience of every child and family. We specialise in creating a safe, nurturing environment where children can explore their thoughts and feelings and work alongside them to change behaviours and thought processes. Our work involves not just the child but also helping the young person convey difficult feelings to their families. Building and strengthening relationships is key.
We are adept at addressing a wide range of challenges, including behavioural issues, anxiety, depression, and the impacts of trauma. Our approach is tailored to each child and family, integrating evidence-based practices with child-friendly techniques.
Apart from our clinical practice, we are speakers and educators, frequently conducting workshops and training programs for parents, educators, and fellow therapists. We also provide therapeutic supervision and support to mental health staff in schools and charities. Our team has authored several articles in BACP and Context magazines.
Our experience with young people often allows them to feel at ease. We are happy to use music and art as a way of expression, as well as talking therapy.
